“Cobras are known for the imposing hood on their neck. They spread the hood when they feel threatened or angry. Their hood consists of flaps of skin attached to long ribs. They are also able to lift their heads high from the ground, which is not only a little scary, but also helps them search for food. And to make them a little scarier, they hiss loudly to scare off potential predators.
There are 270 different species of cobras and similar snakes,
including Taipans, Vipers, Mambas and many sea snakes. They all have short fangs and are all extremely venomous.
