Description

Narwhals have no dorsal fin, possibly an evolutionary adaptation to swim easily under ice. Their cervical vertebrae are connected, like those of land mammals, rather than fused like most whales. Both characteristics are shared by the beluga whale. What is striking, of course, is its long, pointed horn at the front of its face.

This Narwhal is 19 x 6.5 x 3 centimeters.
