The penguin from the schleich® WILD LIFE theme world is an emperor penguin. Of all the penguins, he is the largest and heaviest. He is also the only one that lives so far south in Antarctica. Emperor penguins do not build a nest, but breed directly on the ice. When the female has laid her egg, she returns to the sea to dive for fish. The male incubates the egg. He places the egg on his feet and folds his belly over it to keep it warm. Schleich figures are reproduced true to life and always to scale. All figures are painted by hand. This way, the figures always correspond to reality.
