The penguin from the schleich® WILD LIFE theme world is an emperor penguin. Of all the penguins it is the largest and heaviest. Moreover, he is the only one who lives this far south of Antarctica. Emperor penguins do not build a nest, but breed directly on the ice. Once the female has laid her egg, she returns to the sea to dive for fish. The male incubates the egg. He places the egg on his feet and curls his belly over it to keep it warm. Schleich figures are reproduced faithfully and always to scale. All figures are painted by hand. This way the figures always correspond to reality.
