The alpaca family from the Schleich® WILD LIFE theme world originates from the Andes in South America, where the animals are bred primarily for their soft, warm wool. They belong to the humpless camels and have a very calm and peaceful character. The two alpaca foals each have a different coat colour, one is white and the other is brown. They drink from their mother for about 6-8 months before they start eating grass. The Schleich figures are modelled true to life and represent educationally valuable toys.
