Life for the ponies of the plains is beautiful, but hard. Aurea is two years old when one day a truck drives onto the plains. Her mother is frightened and warns Aurea. She knows what the arrival of the people means. 'Never forget where you come from,' she tells her daughter. 'You are a pony of the plains. Be proud of it!' Aurea is captured, together with a group of other young ponies. This is the beginning of an exciting journey, from one stable to the next. Aurea makes new friends, such as the big brown stallion Winston, and gets to know the people up close. Some are very sweet, but there also appear to be people who do not have good intentions towards ponies... Contents: 224 pages. Suitable for children aged 9 and up.
