The warthog from the schleich® WILD LIFE theme world is a mammal that lives in Africa and mainly eats roots, tubers and berries. It has wart-like growths under the eyes and above the nose. But those are not real warts, but a particularly thick layer of skin. This protects the animals against serious injuries during fights. Warthogs use their tusks to defend themselves against lions, hyenas and wild dogs. Schleich figures are reproduced faithfully and always to scale. All figures are painted by hand.
