Instantly recognizable by their black masks, raccoons are bandits in many ways. Their silver-gray coat is speckled black and provides great nighttime camouflage for this nocturnal omnivore. Raccoons vary greatly in size. They can range in weight from 2 kilos to 10 kilos, although specimens weighing up to 20 kilos are also rumored. When including their long, striped tail, they usually measure between 60 cm to 1 meter in length.
