The anteater from the schleich® WILD LIFE theme world lives in the savannahs and grasslands of Central and South America. The mammal feeds mainly on ants and termites. To get them out of their nest, the anteater drills its long snout into the nest and sticks its 60 cm long, sticky tongue inside. The insects then stick to its tongue. Anteaters also have a bushy tail, which looks larger than it actually is due to the long hairs. Schleich figures are reproduced true to life and always to scale. All figures are painted by hand. This means that the figures always correspond to reality.
