Description
Baryonyx is a genus of theropod dinosaurs that lived about 125 million years ago in the Barremian stage of the Early Cretaceous. The holotype specimen was discovered in 1983 in Surrey, England, and the animal was named Baryonyx, which means "heavy claw" and refers to the animal's very large claw on the index finger.
