The enormous mass of bones on the back of the stegosaurus is quite impressive. But this herbivore is usually friendly. You just shouldn't disturb or annoy him, because then he can come across as quite mean. He will then lash out with his impressive spiky tail. So you better keep this nine-meter-long prehistoric giant on your side! You can recognize the stegosaurus from far away, and not just because of its size. That fiery red, curved and double mass of bones on its back is unmistakable. The contrast with its yellowish lizard skin is a beautiful sight. With its head down, it trudges across the meadows. It tries to keep its tail up. It must be grazing again. That is what the stegosaurus does all day long: this 4.5-ton herbivore can't just fill its belly. Who wants to help it?
