The pitch-black buffalo is an imposing sight. Especially those enormous horns, which are curved on its forehead, are impressive. You better not get into a fight! But the buffalo is usually very friendly. It often grazes quietly and enjoys the day in the African savannah. The strong buffalo raises its head and blows its snout. With its black snout it sniffs to see if strangers come near the herd. It is not sure: continue grazing or is there an enemy nearby? When a strange buffalo approaches its herd, things get serious. Then it runs surprisingly quickly towards the uninvited guest. It stops right in front of the intruder, lowers its large head and starts snorting angrily. Its enormous horns look impressive then. Usually the intruders make sure they get away. And that is a good thing!
