The game consists of 3 stacks of cards: a stack of letter group cards, a stack of challenge cards and a stack of bomb cards. When one of the Tick Tick Boom cards is drawn, the player must think of a word that contains the syllable shown on the syllable card: If it is a TICK card, the word must begin with the syllable. If it is a TAK card, the word must end with the syllable. If it is a BOOM card, it does not matter where the syllable is in the word.

The game ends when the stack of letter group cards runs out. Each player calculates his or her score, 1 point for each syllable card you have. The player with the fewest points wins the game. In the event of a tie, the person who has made up the most words with the letter groups wins.
